Making Thank You Boxes

This week we will make Thank You Boxes during R.T.I. They tell good things about the person it is given to. The box is sent anonymously and will be distributed during lunch time. We will be putting them on the bulletin board. #BoxesForThanks. #Thankful

Planning

Next week gratitude boxes will be made by the students and be given out to the people they made it for. They have words on them that describes the person in a good way. We are planning a, stop, drop, and..., where we will do a school-wide activity every month. We are also planning a dance after the holiday vacation. Last week the school collected over 1000 canned goods.

Counting Canned Goods

We are counting canned goods during student council. Tomorrow is the last day to bring in canned goods.

Good Shepard

On Wednesday, November 13 we took a trip to the Good Shepard Nursing Home to visit with the elderly people there. They had lots of stories to tell and were great at drawing and playing bingo. We made them art work and did arts and crafts with them. It was really fun and we plan to go back.

23rd Annual Turkey Trot Preparation

We are one week away from the turkey trot and preparation is a lot of work and everyone is contributing. The turkey trot is to raise canned and boxed goods for the Jaffrey-Rindge food pantry.

Planning for the 23rd annual Turkey Trot we are making posters and announcements. We are going to collect food goods. This is happening on November 21st and the rain date is November 22nd. The food collection goes to the Local Food Bank.

During Red Ribbon Week

Thank you to all of the people who have brought snacks in these past couple of weeks. Red ribbon week has been going very well. People are showing the spirit of red ribbon week and they have been wearing their red ribbons. Thank you all for wearing your red ribbons and showing drug and alcohol awareness.

Red Ribbon Week

 This week student council is making red ribbons and a bulletin board for red ribbon week. Red ribbon week is about drug and alcohol awareness. There will be raffles throughout the week during lunch time, but you have to be wearing your red ribbon to win the raffle. Good luck!

It's Almost Halloween!!

Almost time for JRMS Halloween dance on October 25th. Student council is also having a costume competition. We are looking forward  to everyone to participate at the first dance of the year!
